The Hilutungan marine sanctuary dive site is 11 kilometers away (less than 7 nautical miles) heading to the 199° from our Scotty's dive center headquarters located at the Shangri-la Mactan, Cebu province.Hilutungan marine sanctuary offers a vibrant marine life and a very good diving spot for all SCUBA divers. Hilutungan is also a well-known island hopping and tour destination where people enjoy chilling on their local bangka boat (bamboo made boat with outriggers) and snorkeling around its shallow tropical waters. As a diver, you will be able to meet some turtles, many schools of parrotfishes, a lot of batfishes, drummers, ribbon sweetlips shoaling all around, different schools of jackfish, some black and midnight snappers, and many more. Hilutungan marine sanctuary is also excellent for those who are taking our underwater photography courses as Hilutungan has a colorful and vibrant ocean floor on top of its biodiversity.
