Due to plankton diet, it has no large teeth, moves slowly, is often on the surface, and is a low-risk shark for humans. We have a break in the city about an hour and a half from Cebu city. Use of sunscreen is prohibited to protect wild whale sharks. Although large in size, whale sharks are surprisingly delicate and can sometimes die due to small stresses and trauma.

  • Even infants and toddlers attending free of charge will need to register their names. Please be sure to provide your name, age and gender. Failure to fill out the form may prevent boarding.
  • You will need to present your English ID to confirm your registration in Oslob. Please bring a photocopy of the photo page of your passport or an image of your passport saved in your smartphone.
  • Vehicles will be shared with other passengers.
  • It can be chilly on the water, so please bring a cloak.
  • Fins can be rented for 100 pesos. (Pay directly on the spot)
  • A long-distance pick-up surcharge will apply for hotels north of Cebu City. Please pay at the hotel on the day of the tour. Some hotels may not be able to provide this service.

  • Contact with whale sharks is very dangerous. Do not block the direction of travel and do not approach within 5 meters.
  • Do not turn on camera or video flashes or lights.
  • If you have any physical problems or are tired from swimming, please ask a nearby staff member for help.
  • Be sure to look up at the surface of the water about once every 10 seconds to keep an eye on the boat you were on, the boats around you, etc.
  • Please stay with your pre-determined buddy (pair).
  • Tour end time may vary depending on traffic conditions
  • Breakfast is not included, but you can stop by a fast food restaurant if you ask your guide.
  • The vehicle may be shaken during the trip due to rough roads, so those who are prone to car sickness are advised to bring an anti-sickness medicine.
  • Krill is used to feed the whale sharks. Although there have been no reports of accidents, those with strong allergies to crustaceans are advised to take precautionary measures such as taking medication beforehand.
